Research Development
- Funding Resources
Start early to explore funding opportunities – you will
need to apply at least 6-12 months in advance for most fellowships
and grants. UCI pays for a subscription to two excellent funding
resources that can be accessed from any “UCI” hosted
account:
Tips on
Searching IRIS and SPIN are available at: www.rgs.uci.edu/rdfgr/tips.htm
More information about finding funding sources is available
at the Office of Research Development homepage: www.rgs.uci.edu/rdfgr/funding
sources.htm. You may also request a customized funding
search by contacting RGS Research Development Editor Beth
Riley at briley@uci.edu.

to the UCI Faculty Profile System, a centralized and searchable
information resource designed to help faculty develop sources
of support for their work and to increase accessibility for
collaborators, students and the community. Even if you have

can easily link it to your personal or departmental web page.

- scholars who wish to locate faculty members for research
collaboration
- Research Development staff for linking faculty with research
funding opportunities and developing interdisciplinary teams
- Foundations and other granting organization who are seeking
reviewers
To submit your profile, simply access www.faculty.uci.edu with
your UCI Employee ID number in hand. Click "For
