Race to the Future? Reimagining the Default Settings of Technology and Society

Dr. Ruha Benjamin is Associate Professor of African American Studies at Princeton University, founder of the JUST DATA Lab, and author of People’s Science: Bodies and Rights on the Stem Cell Frontier (2013) and Race After Technology: Abolitionist Tools for the New Jim Code (2019).  Dr. Benjamin studies social dimensions of science, technology, and medicine, race and citizenship, knowledge and power.

This kick-off event is the opening act of the 2020 Forum for the Academy and the Public: The Future of the Future: The Ethics and Implications of AI.
