International Film Club Screening: A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (Ana Amirpour 2014)

Please join us on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 7-9 pm in UC Irvine's McCormick Screening Hall (HG 1070) for the International Film Club Screening, "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night" (Ana Amirpour 2014).

A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night (Persian: دختری در شب تنها به خانه می‌رود‎ Dokhtari dar šab tanhâ be xâne miravad) is a 2014 Persian-language American vampire-western film directed by Ana Lily Amirpour. Tagged as "The first Iranian vampire Western", it was chosen to show in the "Next" program at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.  The film is described as being set in "the Iranian ghost-town Bad City" and depicts the doings of "a lonesome vampire".

A light dinner and discussion will follow the film screening.
