On Saturday, September 29, Armenian Studies Chairs and Directors at U.S. universities, the Society for Armenian Studies, the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Armenian Studies Department, will convene for the Armenian Studies Chairs and Directors Workshop: Current Challenges and Future Prospects on the University of California, Irvine campus.

The workshop is co-organized by the Meghrouni Family Presidential Chair in Armenian Studies at UCI (Professor Houri Berberian), the Richard G. Hovannisian Chair in Modern Armenian History at UCLA (Professor Sebouh Aslanian), and the Society for Armenian Studies (represented by its current president, Professor Bedross Der Matossian, University of Nebraska-Lincoln).

The meeting will be followed by an evening reception and conversation, featuring wine and appetizers.  The Reception is open to the public starting at 6:00pm in HG 1030.
