Photographing War, with Luis Sinco, LA Times

Luis Sinco is a photojournalist. Born in the Phillipines in 1959, his career started with ethnic community newspapers in Seattle and Los Angeles. He joined the staff of the Los Angeles Times in 1997, where he has contributed to two Pulitzer-prize winning teams. In 2003 and 2004, the Times assigned him to cover the war in Iraq. He was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for his photographic coverage of the battle of Fallouja.
