Research Slam: Celebrating Graduate Education in the Humanities

The Humanities Commons Graduate Research Slam (Friday, May 27, 2016) will feature a series of short presentations by UCI graduate students and postdocs about their dissertations. This event invites participants to share their research with each other and the School in a condensed format that presents the larger arc and aims of their research projects.

The event will be MC’d by speech coach Bri McWhorter, CEO of Activate to Captivate and a UCI MFA in Drama.

Background
The program is modelled on the UC-wide Grad Slam, but features humanities research in a collaborative rather than competitive format. We encourage participants in the Humanities Research Slam to also participate in the campus- and UC-wide Slam.
