Come and celebrate the Francophone world at this event organized by the Department of European Languages & Studies in collaboration with the French Consulate’s Cultural Services & UCI's Study Abroad Center

Enjoy a buffet lunch followed by a talk (in English) by Haitian writer Kettly Mars, sponsored by the French Embassy Spring 2016 Authors on Tour. Kettly Mars is the author of Savage Seasons, a novel that weaves together two stories: the
personal story of Nirvah and her family, and the story of Haiti’s Duvalier’s dictatorial regime and its abuses.

The Francophone Day will conclude with a Francophone world trivia. Prizes for the top 5 winners! You will gain an appreciation for Francophone cultures, have an opportunity to practice your French, play fun games, and make new friends!
