Early Modern Dramatic and Literary Spaces
A two-day seminar of advanced scholars and new voices discussing issues of place and space in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century English dramatic and literary texts. The conference combines theoretical, historical, philosophical, and practical approaches to the topic, and is concerned to examine research methodologies and current critical practices in textual and performance studies. Speakers include Bruce Smith, Julia Lupton, Jonathan Gil Harris, Susan Bennett, Cyndia Clegg, and Dympna Callaghan. The financial support of several institutions has made it possible for us to offer free registration to graduate students and a nominal $10 registration fee to faculty, staff, and general public. Deadline for registering with conference lunch option is October 19.
