| Lijia Zhang is an outspoken commentator on contemporary China and currently a fellow at the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program. She will discuss her 2008 book, Socialism is Great!, a coming-of-age memoir of her life as a factory worker in 1980s Nanjing, as well as her ongoing work as a journalist in China.
